yBellaCreations Artist: Orfeo Quagliata
Orfeo Quagliata began apprenticing with his father, the renowned glass artist and painter Narcissus Quagliata, at the age of eight. At the age of seventeen, Orfeo moved to Barcelona to apprentice with Catalonian glass artist Josef Femandez-Castrillo. He learned cold-working techniques with Castrillo that have become a cornerstone in his work today.
Originally from San Francisco, he attended the California College of Arts And Crafts. "My most recent Geometry Series is composed of bands of fused glass in which I often trap color or light between layered sheets."
